Jesse Smith

Coach Smith’s will complete his 10th year as head coach for the girls’ soccer team in the spring of 2021 after missing the spring 2020 season. During this time, the team has been to the final four three times with the best finish being 3rd place in 2013. Smith is a 2004 graduate from De Soto High School. He went on to play soccer for JCCC and then Mid America Nazarene University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Drew Proctor

Coach Proctor will begin his 3rd year as the Head Boys Soccer Coach in Fall 2020. Prior to De Soto, he spent 7 seasons (2011-2017) as the head coach at Junction City High School in Junction City, KS for the boys, and 2013-2015 as the head coach for the girl’s program. He helped the boys team to the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th best records in their 25-year history and the girls to their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th best records in school history. He is a 2006 graduate of Washburn Rural High School. He then went on to play soccer at Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, KS. He graduated from both MCC and Kansas State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and again in 2013 in Business Education.

Assistant Coaches

Some of the HS boys and girls players will attend camp to serve as volunteer coaches for the week. These coaches will interacting with and participating with our campers every day, getting to know them, helping them learn and enjoy the game of soccer! We will update this page once we have finalized all of our assistants for the summer of 2021!
